In our Tribal Ways of Knowing we learn with the senses engaged—sight,
hearing and touch, the “thousands of eyes of the skin,”
our instincts. We are in touch with intuition and Mystery, learning
from the invisible worlds and our dreams. We know who we are
from our lived experience and our natural inheritance that is
in touch with the cycles and seasons of the Earth. Our unique
path is written in our bones.
I have situated this Way of Knowing within the “soil”
of the Feminine. This living system of knowing and regeneration
contains the seeds of our future selves. Here we are awakened
to our creative fire and body’s wisdom—a divine
fire lighting our path.
Dreams re-animate our natural connections to the Earth and
its regenerative aspects of renewal and restoration. They connect
us to the mythical and mystical structures of our Ancestral
origins and quicken our imaginations of who we are and why we
have come. This “living force of creative change”
comes now, pounding at our door. Our future depends on how we
answer this call.
