With the onset of a debilitating illness, Claire retreated to a secluded cabin in the interior of British Columbia. The enforced isolation brought her to her wounds and her gifts. It was the beginning of the next phase of her teaching. A profound dream of aging gave her a compass point to begin this new initiation.

Around this time Claire would be called on a Dream Quest and would go into the bush around Niskonlith Lake to make a camp. She would spend 3 days and nights alone and come face to face with her own death which she recounts in her book.

Claire’s work with CFS has given her a profound understanding of shamanic illness and the soul’s story. Her work with Healing Art and Dreams in connection with Nature is amplified in her first book, The Woman Who Could See In All Directions At The Same Time.
