creative life
Claire lived on a small farm with her family in the seventies,
raising sheep, bees, chickens, cows, gathering herbs and working
an immense garden. She painted in her log cabin studio. In the
early eighties her work was discovered by a patron of the arts
who purchased more than 200 of her works. She and Jorge
Etcheverry founded a small publishing press, Split Quotation
in 1985, and she went on to exhibit her art in more than 35
shows from 83-87. In the early nineties, Claire opened a centre
for women, taught courses and managed a dream counselling and
Reiki practice. When illness forced her retirement she moved to
British Columbia to recover in a small cabin in the BC Interior.
It was here that The Woman Who Could See In All Directions At
The Same Time was conceived. And it was here that her work
with the Feminine and healing dreams came fully into form.
